21MOONS~ DEAL STREET

Let’s stay young forever and live in this vibe

Let our passions drive us and replenish the fire,

We love these streets, they exude a vibe we want to imbibe,

A vibe that keeps our hearts  humble and our brains to bubble,

Wagwan?!

We could have this post all in Patois, but our Patois isn’t as good :(  This has got to be my favorite 21 Moons post. So random, alive, young and fresh; Re-ignited. A different shift perhaps. It’s no longer about counting dollars as One Republic puts it. How about we count stars? What if the world is not sold  and we no longer did what we are told to do.  What if living on the edge  while watching cards unfold would yield a more satisfactory feeling? What if we came out of the rat race and got to explore? What if we actually lived every moment and not existed?  #thought

Miss recalls this Sunday like it was yesterday. They were walking down the streets with Munga and none of them had the zeal or psych to shoot for this post. Miss was dressed up , Munga had his camera all charged up but they were both all grumpy and worn out that evening. Perhaps because their hunger pangs waved in harder than the Atlantic tides. However , they tried to capture a few snaps  just for the sake since hey, they were already there then maybe they could  grab something to eat as they head home. While at it, a young man and a boy, both looking shabby, came and stood there as they watched the two. Grumpy Miss got nervous since she is not used to people watching her while she is shooting. It felt strange, more like a monkey being watched in the zoo lol! ”Aiii, madam, si u smile kidogo na venye umekill hiyo look’, says the older guy as the young boy who stood  beside him with a  glue bottle in his  hand nodded like he was seconding the man. Munga giggled as he put his camera down while Miss and her bug eyes stared at the two strange men for a moment and they stared back at her like she was stranger! You know the ‘Hi pot meet kettle’ situation, that was the vibe! It got so awkward Miss had to laugh. As for the young man all was well. He actually went on to  illustrate to Miss how she should smile and pose :) He felt like Miss was not doing it right you know. And he was right, Miss was grumpy and moody. Munga should have captured all these behind the scenes, Ei! The team would have made it Vogue, lol! Seriously. Anyway, Munga took a few snaps here and there but most of them were blurry as everyone was all excited as we engaged in the random talk. ‘Eh, watu walibonga! ‘ Names weren’t even exchanged , it felt like everyone knew everyone already…

The two young men left after a while and Miss admired how happy and freestyle they were. They seemingly had so little yet they they lived liked they had it all. They didn’t even ask for anything but Miss and Munga felt indented to give a little something. They had cheered them up and brightened up the evening, like for real. Most of this shots were captured after that interaction and  looking at them, the mood was great!

This has been phase 3 of 21 Moons… the random side. This post was not planned  and Miss is grateful the universe responded  to her idea in a much better way.  Remember the concept in the book The Secret… about sending certain frequencies to the universe and it responds with in the same wave. Your Vibe attracts your tribe. We got to  drop off masks and did some self release as well. And that felt great and refreshing. Right? Nisichoche hapa na concept haijakamilika hehe :) That was generally what 21 Moons was all about. Miss is not sure if she was able to paint the whole thing vividly… but most of all, she hopes you took something with you. From the vibe to the style…

As always, thank you so much for the love and the interaction. I love it when vibe bounces back, it is inspiring…nashukuru. As 21 moons post series comes to an end, I am thinking perhaps we could so coffee for the next post? What do you think? Lemme know :)

Written with love with Vic Munga’s imagery,
